So here's the gist. I want somebody to tell me what to play. I've wanted to get back to some systems I've been neglecting, but in a couple cases I feel like I'm neglecting those systems for a reason (Sega CD, PS2). Here's a few games I've been looking at:
TurboGrafx-16:
Exile - I wasn't too wild about the tiny range of vision you had when I tried it to make sure it worked, but maybe I just wasn't playing seriously enough.
Ys 4 - Actually started this a while ago. Got the transformation spell, then a tight school schedule caused me to neglect it.
PS1:
Alundra 2 - This one I'm a little iffy on. I know it's a great, challenging game but after spending so much time with moderns games whose ambitions are no more than to keep your attention long enough to finish the game instead of challenge you, I feel like I've gone soft and should probably play something else as a warmup.
PS2:
Resident Evil 4 - I hated the controls when I first tried to play it on the Gamecube a while back, but I've since gotten much more accustomed to FPS-like controls. Another thing that turned me off was I read somewhere Leon got infected with Las Plagas and/or died at the end. I like Leon Kennedy. I had Kazuo set his curtains on fire, but I didn't want to see him die of a deforming virus-parasite infection. Then I later read he survives. It'd be nice if somebody could confirm this one way or the other for me. In any case, the PS2's controller is better than the Gamecube's, so maybe I could get through the PS2 version.
You can also throw in your own suggestions. Also feel free to use this topic if you also want suggestions on what to play next.
