Fuck, looking through the games I've beaten this year the only remotely good non-replays I've beaten this year were Banjo-Kazooie and Monkey Island, and I'm hard pressed to count Monkey Island as something I went through this year since I actually got through at least half of it a year ago. A couple were okay but hardly good (Doom 2, PREY), but many were downright bad and when I look back on my time...

So in his Bionic Commando review (the new 3D one) Yahtzee said something about an incredibly stupid plot twist involving Spencer's wife. After how badly GRIN fucked up Bionic Commando with Rearmed I'm not shelling out $60 for that game, and decided to just look up what it is. Well, somebody at The Escapist was kind enough to post it.

...because I've been trying to get DOS games so I can play with DOSbox some more.

And I was disappointed when I bought Lords of Magic, Shattered Steel, and Might and Magic 6 and installed them only to find out they weren't DOS games.

Maybe I can take Monkey Island and figure out how to save in DOSbox with it. Maybe I need to mount the drive it saves to.

Recent redesign of my Merugid character. I disliked his forearms and "spike dress." I drew him a wee too big, and his other wing went off the page.

Almost here. We had our first 90 degree day today, which prompted me to investigate the bedroom air conditioner, one of two small units we have and the only one currently hooked up (since it was left in the window all winter due to laziness). Cleaned a bunch of shit out of the filter and it seems to be running fine. I'll try not to overdo it, but it had a surprisingly low impact on the electric bill last year.

Luckily, there's been a bit of an ocean breeze keeping...
